Creating successful plans for education policies, curricula, priorities, programs or initiatives is complex work!  Successful planning and implementation is possible when all education stakeholders share responsibility to address the seven essential conditions deemed essential for successful implementation – shared vision, leadership, research and evidence, resources, teacher professional growth, time, and community engagement .

This professional learning series will lead you through a process for successful planning, based on the seven essential conditions outlined in the document  A Guide to Support Implementation: Essential Conditions. You will have the opportunity to learn about the 7 essential conditions, respond to guiding questions to support implementation planning, consider the environment within which the essential conditions are most effectively addressed, identify implementation strategies, as well as consider who will be responsible for what, by when and at what cost. You will also begin to establish evidence to indicate that the essential conditions have been addressed. Implementation planning templates and tools will be provided.

This series is intended to support successful implementation planning by educational leaders at all levels across the Kindergarten to Grade 12 system.    Multiple opportunities for planning, sharing and collaborating with/and learning from each other will be provided.

This learning opportunity is being offered through a grant from Alberta Education.

You are encouraged to attend in school/district teams that represent the various stakeholders within your learning community as well as bring relevant data and any preliminary/draft planning documents
