The ability to solve problems is the ultimate goal of mathematics, so how do we develop our students’ ability to problem solve rather than regurgitate mathematical formulas? Students need to be provided with problem solving tasks that help them develop understanding of math content and use that knowledge to find solutions. During this session, we will look what true problem-solving involves and explore a variety of Division III activities that will develop our students’ skills.

This learning opportunity is being offered through curriculum implementation funding from Alberta Education.
