A healthy school culture is paramount. When there is commitment, ownership and intentionality toward establishing and growing a vibrant school culture, there’s very little that can’t be accomplished. Let’s get back to the basics of the importance of relationships, empathy, acknowledgment and compassion as the backbone of all successful schools. In this session, participants will have the opportunity to evaluate and reflect on their current school culture. They will also be presented with strategies and tips to strengthen the culture that exists within their schools. This session will have both individual reflection along with group reflection and discussion to maximize the expertise and experience of all participants.

This session addresses the LQS competency #1: Fostering Effective Relationships; competency # 7: Developing Leadership Capacity. This session addresses the TQS competency #1: Fostering Effective Relationships; #2: Engaging in Career-Long Learning. This session addressed the SLQS competency #1: Building Effective Relationships.

This learning opportunity is being offered through a grant from Alberta Education.
