For schools who have taken part in the First Nations Kit Building session that occurred in March, it was mentioned that there would be opportunities to further support the work by coming together and reviewing or writing additional lessons and identifying additional resources to be included in the kits. This session will provide a collaborative working session for those interested in working on Math, Science or Social Studies. You are encouraged to bring along your resources that can be written into lessons or activities for students. If you don’t have any materials, no worries, there is always lots of material already waiting to be reviewed! Please bring your own laptop with you. All materials produced will be shared with all schools who have built kits, not just those attending this session. Additional writing sessions will be held throughout the year and all materials created at these sessions will also be shared so please try to attend at least one to contribute to the cause!
This learning opportunity is being offered through a grant from Alberta Education.
