TARGET AUDIENCE: ALL ELEMENTARY TEACHERS, ADMINISTRATORS, COACHES AND EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.

Earth Day (April 22) offers the perfect opportunity to celebrate and honour Mother Earth. In this two-part workshop series designed specifically for elementary teachers, explore the concept of sustainability and our relationship to the natural world through both western and Indigenous lenses. Gain confidence that you don’t need to be an expert to start your journey into Indigenous knowledge systems and pedagogies but rather, an open mind and heart and a willingness to explore new ideas with your students. Drawing on authentic resources, learn how you can weave Indigenous perspectives into your everyday teaching in a way that engages the cognitive, physical, emotional and spiritual self and fosters deep learning around the notion of sustainability.  If these ideas sound interesting but also fill you with trepidation, this workshop is for you!
