During the month of July join the KTCEA teachers and instructional leaders from Treaty 8 virtually, using Google Meet and Google Classroom platforms to prioritize and identify the essential learning outcomes from the current grade 7-9 curriculum, in the areas of English Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics and Science, using Alberta Education’s current Programs of Study.
With the assistance of Corrie Ziegler, the working group will also examine cross curricular prioritizing and the infusion of Indigenous foundational knowledge into each of the curriculum areas identified, per grade level.
The goal will be to create a document that offers a curriculum map, with priorities displayed for each grade in each core subject area. This document will be provided to all participants involved.

Corrie Ziegler has been an educator for over 40 years, and has served as a teacher, principal, supervisor and director. Currently Corrie is working privately as a consultant. Corrie has led numerous districtwide projects, managed complex teams, and facilitated professional learning sessions on a broad spectrum of topics related to teaching and learning.
Corrie has her Master’s degree from the University of Alberta, and was a finalist in Alberta's Excellence in Teaching awards program. Corrie believes in the power of collaboration and has coached numerous learning communities in working together to achieve high levels of engagement and learning for all students
