Session 1 - Language learning as a language teacher Steps and skills to improve our own language abilities as busy adults
Session 2- The bones of FSL and language classes: Short and long-term planning, assessment, building successful language programs at the classroom level.
Session 3- Researched-based approaches and techniques for teaching languages in the classroom (communication, vocab and grammar)
Session 4- Teaching French Pronunciation: how, when, and why it's important. A session tailored specifically for teachers of French in Alberta.
Quinton’s language experience intersects multiple language families, contexts, motivations, modalities, and ages, each of which adds a new dynamic to his teaching. Receiving a B.Ed. with distinction in Second Language Education (French major) and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics, he advances best practices by combining real-world experience with research-based language theory and pedagogy. Quinton's expertise has helped him contribute to language teaching conferences and seminars on a local, national, and international level. He currently teaches FSL and AP French in Edmonton.
